Core Values

#1: Commitment to the Local Church

We believe in the authority and importance of the local church and the pastoral leadership, which oversees it. We were never established to be a replacement for the church nor do we possess any autonomy over any individual local assembly. We desire to be a help to the church in ministering to your campers. We seek to elevate and enhance a love for the church in every camper.

#2: Commitment to Evangelism

Our goal is that every camper hears a clear and understandable presentation of the gospel. We also believe that as Christians we are commanded to be fishers of men; therefore, each camper will be challenged to reach others with the gospel of Christ. The summer staff is taught the importance of soul-winning and is placed in situations where they can lead others to Christ. Our full-time staff is involved in evangelistic ministries through their local churches in addition to their ministries at camp.

#3: Commitment to Standards

We are committed to maintain conservative standards that reflect Biblical values in regard to music, appearance, dating relationships, speech and conduct. We reinforce patriotism, godliness, respect and courtesy in our camp program.

#4: Commitment to Service

We desire to convey a spirit of helpfulness in the smallest of ways to each of our special guests. That means our commitment involves courteous and helpful service to you and your family. If we can help you enjoy your visit with us by demonstrating a servant’s heart, it is our promise to go the “extra mile” to meet your needs. It is our privilege to serve you.

#5: Commitment to Relationships

We desire to make every person a Camp CoBeAc ministry friend. It is important to develop ongoing friendships with those that have chosen to make Camp CoBeAc a regular part of their lives. It is crucial to build alliances with those who share an equal appreciation for this ministry. As part of the CoBeAc family, we will do everything we can to express gratitude for the acts of kindness and volunteerism one shows, invite our church and community friends to participate in this ministry in tangible ways, as well as look for opportunities to be a personal blessing to you and your family.

#6: Commitment to Excellence

We desire to excel in every area of camping ministry from food service preparation to facility management; from staff recruitment to program creativity; from safety training to hospitality services. To ensure the highest standards of integrity and excellence the camp board, the administration and staff, and other auditing organizations are working together to guarantee that we meet and exceed those standards that have been recognized nationally in the camping industry.
