Organize a Friendship Meal

Introducing Others to Camp CoBeAc

Would you be willing to introduce others to the growing and impacting camp ministry of Camp CoBeAc? With its beautiful facility and various programs and events throughout the year, churches can benefit from such a ministry. We would like to work with those who together desire to build a better Camp CoBeAc and impact others for the cause of Christ.

WHY?

Smaller group gatherings will generate much more individual interest and create more meaningful interaction than larger group events. Plus, pastors meeting with pastors is simply the best way to generate mutual friendship for the cause of Christian camping. Let’s take the growing camp vision to those who can and need to partner with Camp CoBeAc to provide a solid, conservative ministry churches across the Great Lakes region.

WHO

Ask up to ten people, particularly pastors and their wives, who would appreciate encouragement concerning camp ministry and possible participation at Camp CoBeAc.

HOW LONG

This meeting should only last about the time it takes to eat a regular meal (not including answering any questions that might need to be answered.) We would enjoy some fellowship during the meal and then the host would introduce the Camp Representative for the brief camp presentation.

WHEN

Simply call and inquire about your preferred dates and times. After confirming, which should take only a few moments, all you have to do is invite these guests to an agreed upon location. The preference is to host a breakfast or brunch meal. Of course, a lunch or supper can be arranged along with a dessert reception.

WHERE

These fellowship meetings can be held at a restaurant, in your church, at your home, or at Camp CoBeAc. If you decide to meet at Camp CoBeAc, we would even provide housing at no cost with complimentary drinks at the Ugly Mug Coffee Shop. It really doesn’t matter where you meet as long as there is a place good fellowship can occur and a few words can be shared without distractions.

AGENDA

The host is responsible for contacting guests, providing directions, and explaining the purpose of the gathering prior to the meal. Once started, simple introductions can be made, refreshments and meals are brought out, fellowship occurs, a brief presentation about the camp ministry is given, handouts and brochures and a gift are provided, questions are answered, and finally the host concludes in the way deemed most appropriate.

COST

The host, when confirming the dates for this event, will discuss options with Camp CoBeAc. Perhaps a donor would like to provide resources for this worthy attempt to expand the circle of friends of your church and Camp CoBeAc. Perhaps your church would host such a meal in the fellowship hall. Or maybe the hosts can provide a meal at their home. Camp CoBeAc can provide portions of the meal to offset any expenses that are incurred. And, if necessary, Camp CoBeAc would be happy to bring a meal to or prepare a meal at your location. If the gathering is held at Camp CoBeAc, the food service department would prepare all meals at no cost to any guest. Camp CoBeAc would even be willing to take your special guests out for breakfast or brunch at no cost to anyone if doing so would be more convenient.

Let’s make this a wonderful time of fellowship in the coming months. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
